CLASS OF 2022

Emma Nelson has been dancing for 15 years. Emma was born in Dallas, Texas and moved around the country dancing with several studios finally landing in California as a young child. In 2018 she began studying at California School of the Arts – San Gabriel Valley in the Ballet and Contemporary Dance Conservatory and continued throughout high school. Emma joined SoCal Arts in 2021 and began training under Laura Alexich and Jekyns Palaez. Emma has competed in the Youth American Grand Prix with the variation Laurencia. She has also performed with SoCal Arts in the Nutcracker as the Russian soloist and in the core. Emma has spent her summers with the Joffrey Ballet Summer Intensive Program and will be joining their 4 year trainee and BFA program this fall.
